Harvest with Mommy

Of all the hours I spent out in the field, I only have 4 pictures of my time out there!!  I really enjoyed being able to help out on the farm and drive a tractor this year and hope to be able to every year I can!!

 

Who says the Oklahoma Panhandle isn't pretty??

 

 

Karsyn got to come out a couple times and ride with me!  She wanted to drive the big tractor so bad, so I put her in my lap and off we went!!  I had to help a little cause she was more interested in watching Bub in the combine than where she was going!!!



 

 

I got this mom!!!  Trust me!!!  Haha!!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

Each year, we enjoy going to the Pumpkin Patch with Karsyn, but this year, I was working harvest and wasn't going to be able to take her.  So, our friends Jena and Rhonda loaded her up with them and took her along to enjoy a day with friends!!!

After a fun-filled morning at the Pumpkin Patch, they went to Dairy Queen to have some lunch and of course, some ice cream!!!  Who wouldn't like that?!?!

Thank you Jena and Rhonda for taking her along and letting her pick out the most ugly pumpkin for her mommy!!!  LOL!!!  Even though it is so ugly, Karsyn is so proud of it and makes sure to tell me every time she sees it that she picked it out just for me!!!  LOL!!!

Cooking with Mommy

Karsyn asks us all the time if she can help cook.  I usually tell her no because I am afraid she doesn't quite understand how hot the stove gets, but this one afternoon, I decided why not?!?!  She looked so surprised when we told her she could help.  She just smiled from ear to ear!  So, we got a dining room chair for her to stand on and her task was to stir the baked beans!!  She did such a good job!!

3rd Summer Vacation

Our last vacation of the summer was to go back to the lake to celebrate my grandparents 72nd anniversary!!  Can you imagine??  72 years??  That is so amazing and the best example of love and dedication that I know!!!  I look up to them and thank God that my baby girl gets to look up to them and love them just as much as I do!!! 

 

 

Of course, while we were there, we had lots of fun in the sun too!!!  Uncle Jayson got to join us and took Karsyn swimming!! 

 

She was so excited and couldn't wait for Jayson to get down to the dock!

After the rain cleared up, we went on the boat for some real fun!!!  After mommy got done skiing, she wanted to take a dip in the water so we swam for a little while!!

We had so much fun spending time with everybody again!!  Our trip was a fast and furious one, but we got in lots of fun and most importantly, lots of love from my grandparents!  Karsyn got used to seeing them, she still asks if we can go back to their house!

Gymnastics

On August 22nd, Karsyn got to attend her first gymnastics class in Stratford!!!  She was so excited!!  Mommy bought her an new leotard and she just couldn't wait to be able to wear it that day!!!  She did so good!  She was a little shy at first, but after she got to know Miss Kelly, she got all involved and did everything Kelly asked her to!!

She had such a great time and talked about it for DAYS!!!  She goes every Wednesday morning and just cannot wait to see her new friends and do her favorite thing.....jump on the trampoline!!!!  We are so fortunate that she gets to attend these classes.  If mommy was working, she wouldn't be able to go since they are in the mornings.  We count our blessings each and every day!!!!

1st Haircut

I always said Karsyn would be 3 before we even thought about giving her a haircut, and we almost made it!!!  On August 21, 2012, just 2 1/2 months shy of being 3, Karsyn got her first ever haircut from Lori!!  Of course, we just trimmed it, but this is the first time a pair of scissors had touched her hair!!

I was afraid that the curls would go away after the first haircut, but nothing to worry about.....the curls are still there!!!  Lori did a great job and her hair looked much better after she was done!!!!

New Big Girl Bed

Karsyn was so excited when we got home from our vacation and had a new big girl bed in her room!!  Grandma and Grandpa gave her a canopy bed they had at the lake and Taylor, Ben, and Lori brought it back for us and Daddy set it all up for her!!!  As soon as he got it all set up, we made the bed, and she just couldn't wait to get on it!!! 

 

 

To this day, she still loves bedtime when she gets to get all snuggled in her canopy bed and feel like a princess!!!  She sleeps better than ever!!!!!  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for making our princess feel like she should!!!!  

Karsyn and Mommy's 2nd Summer Vacation

Yes, I am a couple months behind!!  We have been super busy since summer ended, so this blog was put on the back-burner.  But, harvest is over, and I promised my brother I would get everything caught up, so here we go!!!!

Karsyn and I got to go on a 2nd vacation to see Grandma and Grandpa in August.  This time, though, we made a few stops because it was just me and her in the car!!! 

First, we stopped at Nana's for a few days!  I had a meeting in Oklahoma City, so she got to hang out with Nana and Aunt Jo.  Her favorite thing while she was there was playing on the playground!!  I told Mark we really need to get her a swingset here at the house because she is in pure heaven when she gets to play on these things!!!

We decided that since we didn't have anything else going on the rest of the week, we would go ahead and go to Grandma and Grandpa's house and have some more fun!!!  There were a couple of rainy days, so Karsyn got to enjoy watching her movies in the house!

The whole time we were there, I was hoping that we would see some ducks so Karsyn could feed them.  I remember being a little kid and loving to feed them everytime we went to the lake!!  Finally, on the very last morning, there were ducks swimming by so I hurried up and got some bread and we ran down to feed them!  Karsyn loved every minute!!!

Since we had been gone for a week, we decided to cut the trip home in half and spend a night with James and Terri in Drumright!!!  Karsyn loves spending time there.  She gets to watch all the cartoons she wants and pet Bingo and Petey!!!!

We had a great trip, even though we missed Daddy tons!!!!  Next vacation, he gets to come with us and we are so excited!!!!
