First Bike Ride

We have been wanting to start getting outside and doing activities as a family more, so we bought Karsyn her own seat so she could ride on the back of Mark's bike in the evenings!  While he was putting it all together, she was getting so excited!  She knew just by looking at it that she was supposed to sit in it.  So, when it was all done, we put her helmet on and strapped her in for her first bike ride!!  She was so excited, she could not quit smiling!!!

When they got back, she kept patting the seat saying, "Ride, Ride!!"  She didn't want to stop!!

Water Baby

The swimming pool we originally bought Karsyn got a hole in the bottom of it, so Grandma went out and bought her a new one.  This time it's hard plastic so it should last all summer long!!  Karsyn loves her swimming time since it is so hot out!!

She loves her frog floatie!!

Splash, splash, splash!!

Daddy squirting her with her rubber duckie!

It was so much fun, she had to try it herself!

We sure hope everybody out there is enjoying their summer as much as we are!!

2nd Annual 4th of July Celebration with Taylor and his family!

Our 4th of July weekend actually turned into a 4th of July week!!  It was so awesome to get to spend some time with my Uncle Taylor, Ben, Lori, Zoe, and Zane.  We hadn't seen them since last 4th of July when we made the trip to the panhandle and spent the weekend with them.  This year, we all met at the lake and spent almost an entire week together!!  We definitely have some good memories to last a while from this get together, but the next time we see them can't come fast enough!!

There was a little bit (ok, maybe a lot) of work to be done on the lift for the boat........

Taylor running the backhoe

All of them are thinking....please don't break, please don't break!!

The new boat that is causing all this work!!  Haha!!

Classic Taylor....always time to joke around no matter how hot and tired he is!!

One of the few pics I have of father and son working together!

Grandma, pretty as ever, watering her plants!

After a TON of hard work, it's finally ready to be put back in the dock!

During all this work, the kids were so good at waiting patiently to get out on the water!  Here are the cousins having some fun!

Karsyn and Zane watching cartoons together

Zane, Karsyn, and Zoe

Karsyn playing with her new floaty!

Sweating just like the guys working - it was so dang hot that day!

A rainstorm came in the middle of all the work, so the girls took some
time to enjoy splashing in the puddles!

Karsyn having a blast in the rain!

Once the work was done, it was time for some real fun!!  We all got up at 5:30 in the morning and headed out on the boat for some skiing on water as smooth as glass!!

Karsyn wasn't as excited as we were to be up that early!

Zoe and Zane....aren't they just too cute!?!?

Lori went first, and she got up on her first try!!!

Loving every minute of it!

Yes, that's me getting ready to try!

I didn't know if I was gonna make it for sure!

Why, yes I did!!!  How about that??  After 10 years, I can still ski!!

Daddy hurt his ankle the week before we went, so he hung out in the boat.

Lori up again!

Put the skis away, cause it's now time for some tubing fun!!!

And we did the unthinkable........

Yep, that's Lori and I with Karsyn on the tube!!

It took her a few minutes, but then she loved every minute of it!!

Zoe, Lori, and Zane having fun!

Hold on!!!

Then, I got on for a ride with Zoe and Lori

What did we get ourselves into??  LOL

Lori and Zoe making fun of how slow the boat was going......

I think Lori might be second-guessing the above jesture!

Yep, I think that is regret!!  Haha!

Lori taking a turn by herself (she's a lot braver than I am!)

Uh-oh!!

Big Mable threw her!!

Uncle Jayson taking a turn to ski

Ben is just chillin' in the boat drinking his Monster with his "matching" hat!!

Ben had to give his wake board a try, so Karsyn was sporting his hat!

Getting ready to try it!

He almost got up that day....we didn't have the camera the next morning when he did actually get to wake board.  Sorry Ben, I don't have proof of it, but we will get it next time!
Jayson skiing back to the dock

And bit it right before we got there!!  Haha!!

The guys hanging out on the dock after a long days work!

Last year, Karsyn didn't get to stay up for the fireworks.  She was 7 months old and was in bed when the show started.  So, we kept her up this year to see her first ever firework show!  She did really good until it started getting loud, but even then, she never cried!!

Ready with baby in tow!

Her first ever firework....what else, but a chicken!!!

Loving all the pretty lights in the sky!  They were all around us!!

This was definitely a 4th of July week(end) to remember!!  Hopefully, we will continue this tradition with Taylor and all his family every year!!  Love you guys!!!
